De Golden Globe-nominaties 2023 zijn gekend

Vandaag werden in Hollywood de nominaties bekend gemaakt van de Golden Globes 2023. Deze – na de Oscars en de Emmy’s – meest prestigieuze prijzen worden uitgereikt door de Hollywood Foreign Press Association, de organisatie van de buitenlandse journalisten in de VS.

Omdat de organisatie omwille van een gebrek aan diversiteit en bedenkelijke zakelijke transacties, zwaar onder vuur lag, werd de uitreiking vorig jaar niet uitgezonden. De komende show zal opnieuw uitgezonden worden door NBC, maar niet op een zondagavond, maar wel op dinsdag 10 januari.

De nominaties voor de beste tv-programma’s en acteurs/actrices kenden weinig verrassingen. De komedie Abbott Elementary voert de lijst van genomineerden aan met vijf stuks. Daarna volgen Only Murders in the Building, The White Lotus, The Crown en Pam & Tommy met elk vier stuks. Better Call Saul en Ozark, twee series die er dit jaar mee ophielden kregen respectievelijk twee en drie nominaties. Opvallend was ook de dubbele nominatie voor House Of The Dragon, een serie die ons niet heeft kunnen overtuigen en het ontbreken van Euphoria in de categorie ‘Best Television Series, Drama’
