Adolescence blijft domineren

Zondag 10 mei worden in het VK de BAFTA’s TV Awards uitgereikt. Veertien dagen eerder, op 26 april, worden de BAFTA Craft Awards uitgereikt, de prijzen voor de eerder technische categorieën. De series die in aanmerking kwamen voor een nominatie moesten uitgezonden worden in het VK in de periode van 1 januari tot 31 december.

De grote favoriet is andermaal Adolescence, de miniserie over een jongen die beticht wordt van de moord op een klasgenote. De serie won eerder negen Emmy’s en meerdere prijzen op de Actors Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, Independent Spirit Awards, Golden Globes, Broadcasting Press Guild Awards en de Royal Television Society Programme Awards. Adolescence werd ook genomineerd voor de BAFTA Craft Awards in onder meer de categorieën 'directing’, ‘photography and lighting’, ‘casting’, ‘sound and lighting’.

Andere series die meerdere nominaties kregen waren o.a. A Thousand Blows, Amandaland, Trespasses, Juice, What It Feels Like For A Girl, Slow Horses, Andor, The Death Of Bunny Munro en Lockerbie: A Search For Truth.
