Lambs Of God triomfeert op de AACTA Awards

Woensdag werden in Australië de AACTA Awards uitgereikt, de hoogste Australische onderscheidingen voor film en televisie. De miniserie Lambs Of God maakte met 18 nominaties zijn favorietenrol waar door acht Awards te winnen. De serie Total Control won naast ‘beste drama’ ook nog twee prijzen voor de vertolking.
Lambs Of God gaat over drie nonnen (van drie verschillende generaties) die aan de kust in een geïsoleerd klooster leven. Wanneer een onbekende man het klooster binnendringt, zet hij de wereld van de nonnen compleet op zijn kop. In de hoofdrollen zien we Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World), Essie Davis (The Babadook, The Slap) en Ann Dowd (The Leftovers, Masters Of Sex, The Handmaid’s Tale)
