The Crown voert de lijst van de BAFTA’s aan

Het zesde en laatste seizoen van The Crown voert met acht nominaties de lijst aan van de ‘2024 BAFTA TV and TV Craft awards’. Demon 79, de apocalyptische aflevering van de serie Black Mirror is met zeven nominaties een verrassende tweede. Op een derde plaats volgen Happy Valley, The Sixth Commandment en Slow Horses zijn derde met zes nominaties.

Opmerkelijk is ook dat The Crown niet genomineerd is in de categorie beste drama. Die eer komt toe aan Happy Valley, Top Boy, Slow Horses en The Gold.

Van de 44 acteurs en actrices die genomineerd zijn, zijn er 17 die hun eerste BAFTA-nominatie krijgen. Tot hen behoren o.a. Jack Lowden, Máiréad Tyers, Bella Ramsey, Hannah Waddingham, Harriet Walters, Harris Dickinson en David Tennant.


De ‘2024 BAFTA TV Craft awards’ worden uitgereikt op 28 april, de BAFTA TV awards op 12 mei.
